The Highgate Teen Advisory Board (TABBERS) is participating in the 2010 BIG Change Round Up for kids through the Vermont Children's Hospital. With your help, they can make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community.

The funds that they will help raise, will provide programs, services and equipment that make Vermont Children's Hospital

such a special place. Funds raised through the Big Change Roundup for Kids will help provide things like:

  • Child Life Specialists that work with children and their families through medical play and artwork to help reduce anxiety about treatment
  • Family assistance funds that support families with limited assistance to help pay for travel, lodging, food and other essentials
  • Education to help families of children with cystic fibrosis or diabetes understand the importance of nutrition in keeping their children healthy
  • Child and family-friendly spaces that that have been designed specifically with children in mind
  • Funding for cutting edge research to help find the next treatment for childhood cancer

If you have any change that you would like to donate to the Big Change Round Up for Kids through the Highgate Tabbers group, please drop it off at the Highgate Public Library, or the Highgate Town Office on or before Saturday March 13th. It is the goal of the Highgate Tabbers to raise at least $100 to help support this cause.
